Privacy
In short: ReadingClub.wiki is free and built to be safe for students. There are no accounts, no ads, no tracking cookies, and no third-party analytics. We don’t sell or share personal information, and we don’t ask students for any.
What we collect
Reading the site requires no sign-up and no personal details. Like almost every website, our server keeps standard request logs — IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time. We use them only to keep the site running, stop abuse, and fix errors, and we delete them after 30 days.
Students and children
The site is designed for classroom use, including by students under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children, and nothing on the site asks for it. We ask students not to include their name, school, or other personal details in suggestions or contributions; if something like that is submitted, moderators remove it.
Teachers and parents who have a concern can write to hello@readingclub.wiki and we’ll respond promptly.
Cookies and fonts
We set no tracking or advertising cookies. Our typefaces are served by Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google’s servers to download them; Google’s own privacy policy applies to that request. Schools that prefer to avoid this can block the font request — the site still works with system fonts.
Contributions and email
Suggested edits are reviewed by volunteer moderators before they are published. Published edits become part of a guide’s public history without any personal attribution unless a contributor explicitly asks for credit.
If you email us, we keep the conversation only so we can reply and follow up. We never add anyone to a mailing list. The “Suggest a book” form on the main page is currently a preview and doesn’t send or store anything.
Your choices
You can ask what information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by writing to hello@readingclub.wiki.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top, and note significant changes under Recent edits on the main page.
